Dramatis personae

There are two kinds of people in the Trigan Empire—recurring characters and non-recurring characters. The latter vastly outnumber the former!

Not all the non-recurring characters are named, e.g., the Wise Woman of Loka, the Prisoner of Zerss. What follows is a list of named characters from Episodes 1 to 69.

Recurring characters

For those unfamiliar with the series—the Emperor Trigo, his nephew Janno, and Peric the wise old scientist from Tharv are, indubitably and indomitably, the three main characters.

There are three other oft-recurring characters—Janno’s comrades Keren and Roffa, and Janno’s father, Brag, the Emperor’s brother.

Peric’s daughter, Salvia, shows up from time to time, too. Not often enough—but more often than Imbala, Kassar, Klud, Nikko, Ursa, or Zorth.

Non-recurring characters

A remarkable thing about Butterworth’s tales is that the vast majority of his characters appear in one tale and one tale only—never to be seen nor mentioned again!
